We had a wonderful stay here. Loved the retro/modern feel of the room. Very cozy and extremely clean. Would highly recommend this motel when visiting the area.
For me, a sign of a well maintained room is bathroom caulking. No signs of shabby upkeep.
We had a great stay. Room was big and comfortable. Super clean and updated. I would definitely recommend this place. We came in town to ride the train to Petersburg it was a a great trip. Even had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Only thing missing was a hairdryer. Nice and quiet too.
My family spent a wonderful summer weekend at this motel. It's conveniently located for a boat trip through the Trough on the South Branch of the Potomac. We found the motel beautifully maintained, the rooms reasonably priced, and staff helpful with all our requests!
This they tell me is a historic place but in my mind it is just a simple place to stay. It will be clean but there are no breakfast no lunch no amenities. You have a bed and a shower air conditioning in the summer heat in the winter. Most of the decorous set in the sixties and seventies Style. I've stayed here several times it's not a luxury motel but it is a nice place to stay.
The hosts are really nice. The rooms are a flashback to the 70's, in a good way. Very clean and comfortable.
